Laurie "Snookie" Mouzon, Jr.

Mr. Laurie “Snookie” Mouzon, Jr., 78, passed away on February 25, 2026, at Kingstree.

Mr. Mouzon was born on September 1, 1947, in Williamsburg County, son of Laurie Mouzon, Sr. and Janie Mae Miles Mouzon. He was a member of The Little White Church in Greeleyville, where he would sing and work in the church. Mr. Mouzon loved his wife and his family. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and being in his deer stand. He was a jokester, true outdoorsman and worked in carpentry all his life.  

Surviving are his daughter, Angela (Frank) Heinz of Dalzell; son, Stacy (Crystal) Mouzon of Kingstree; grandchildren, Earl “BJ” Jones, III of Kingstree, Caroline  (Justin) Steen of Camden, Donovan (Cassie) Mouzon of Dalzell, Preston Mouzon of Dalzell, Matthew Mouzon of Kingstree and Alexis Mouzon of Kingstree; great grandchildren, Braelynn Mouzon, Ryleigh Mouzon, Weston Mouzon, Gunner Mouzon, Trevor Steen, and Justin Steen.

Mr. Mouzon was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Frances Ray Mouzon; 2 sisters and 4 brothers.  

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 1, 2026, at The Little White Church, 288 Easler Hwy, Greeleyville, SC 29056.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 1, 2026, at The Little White Church, with burial to follow at the church cemetery.
